Janaki Temple, Janakpurdham, Mithila.

Mata Janaki temple is located at ancient Nagar Janakpur. Janakpur is located 225KM south east from Kathmandu. It is 80KM north of Durbhanga airport in Bihar. And It is 185KM north of Patna city in Bihar. 

How to arrive at Janakpur

From any major city in India, there are direct flights to Patna or Darbhanga airport. The better is Dahbhanga airport because it is only 2hrs drive away from Janakpur.  Similarly, you can also fly to Kathmandu & take a 25min flight to Janakpur! 

Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu valley has 7 UNESCO heritage sites among which Pashupatinath is the main place of interests for many indian families. Beside UNESCO sites, Kathmandu valley is also the home to Jalnarayan Temple, Adinath temple, Bhairav temple, Kali temple & Char Ganesh & Char Nayayan temples.  

Chandragiri cable car and Nagarkot Hill

Kathmandu is a valley which is surrounded by tall mountains on all sides. Eastern hill is called Nagarkot, northern hill is called Shivapuri peak, western hill is called Chandragiri & southern hill is called  Phulchoki hill. Among them, Chandragiri and Nagarkot are famous day visit & overnight tourist places. Nagarkot is famous for views of the Himalayas & sunrise views. Some lovely & luxury resorts are available at Nagarkot. Similarly Chandragiri hill top is an ancient & historical place newly famous as tourist destination. Many of our Indian guests have enjoyed doing a day trip to Chandragiri, visiting the temples at Kathmandu valley & spending overnight at Nagarkot hill station.  

Manakamana Temple

Manakamana is a devi temple on the way from Kathmandu to Pokhara or Chitwan. The temple is located on a height of 1300m which is reached after a 10min cable car ride from Kurintar at Prithvi highway, 100KM from Kathmandu. 

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan is some 200KM south west from Kathmandu & famous for safari activities. 

Pokhara Valley

Pokhara is the heart of Nepal's tourism. Sarangkot, Pumdikot shiva temple, shanti stupa, devi's falls, gupteshwar cave, Vindabasini temple, Tal Barahi temple & phewa lake are places of interests in Pokhara. 

Muktinath Temple

Muktinath is swami Narayan temple in the Himalayas! It is located at 3800m across Annapurana & Dhaulagiri, some 175KM north of Pokhara. It is one of the main attractions in Nepal for our Indian guests. 

Lumbini - the birth place of Buddha

Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha is just 130KM - 3hrs drive from Gorakhpur train station & airport. It is 300KM west of capital Kathmandu. Lumbini is home to Mayadevi temple, the main temple with marking stone of Buddha's birthplace, & dozens of monasteries. Kapilvastu which used to be the Palace of king Suddhodhan - father of Buddha - is some 40KM north of Lumbini.
